Ingredients needed to make Dabeli Dhokla –

For the dhokla

1 cup of rava

½ dahhi

1 teaspoon of salt

1 cup of water

2 teaspoons of fruit salt

For the tadka

3 tablespoons of oil

1 tsp of mustard seeds

1 tsp of curry leaves

vs. hing tea

cup of water

2 teaspoons of sugar

For the dabeli masala

3 tablespoons of oil

2 ½ tablespoons of dabeli masala

1 ½ cup boiled potatoes

1 tablespoon of sugar

¼ cup roasted peanuts

¼ cup of pomegranate seeds

1 tablespoon of chopped cilantro

Salt to taste

Other ingredients

½ cup of garlic chutney

½ cup roasted peanuts

¼ cup chopped onions

¼ cup of pomegranate seeds

sev cup

1 tablespoon of chopped cilantro

Method to do Dabeli Dhokla –

1) For dhokla. Put all the ingredients in a bowl, add water and mix well
2) Rest the dough for 25 min.
3) Then start with the dabeli masala, heat some oil in a pan and fry the dabeli masala
4) Then add the potatoes and mix well
5) Now add the peanuts, pomegranate, salt and cilantro leaves
6) Mix well and set aside
7) Return to the dough & add the fruit salt & a little water
8) Mix and transfer immediately to an ovenproof dish
9) Steam for 20 minutes and remove
10) Prepare the tadka then heat the oil & add the curry leaves, mustard seeds & hing
11) Fry for 30 seconds, then add water and sugar, mix well and remove
12) Pour the hot tadka over the dhokla & rest for 5 min
13) Next, spread the Garlic Chutney, then add the dabeli mixture. Finally Tope toh onions, pomegranate, coriander, peanuts & sev
14) Cut into squares and serve hot
